Default Converting the '00-'01 to the '02-'03

Discussed MANY times I know, but I don't think it has in this sense...

I suppose I could afford a 2002 after searching a lot, but I can't bring myself to get the Suzuka Blue over the Silverstone...

-Upgraded ECU
-Suspension (harder in front I hear? To reduce oversteer...)
-Interior (Rick's will help a ton)
-Shifter (Shifting linkage? What exactly was fixed?)
-Stereo (They are both crap anyways, who cares)
-Glass window (Too much of a pain to customize it with glass, also too expensive to buy a new one)

The upgraded ECU, I'm not sure I would want to spend money on that, as it would be better to just get like a hi-tech one right? Isn't the stock '02-'03 ECU like $500?

Suspension, what exactly is done... is it just the springs in the front that are stiffer, or is it the actual shocks? Is there an extra/oversized sway bar in the '02-'03?

As far as the shifter, I'd just be getting a VooDoo shift knob... but what internal parts were changed, and how much would it cost to fix that problem in the '00-'01?

Thanks guys, hopefully this is organized enough... and hopefully this becomes a commonly referred to thread.

Well, I contacted HardtopGuy for a replacement top for my 01 to get the glass. Personally, that's the biggest drawback for me.

The top with glass window is $826.72 + $45.00 for the wire harnesses + shipping. You need to add a few straps to the top frame, there are a couple threads in s2ki.com showing what all is involved.
Now, I'm not sure if he has a discount for s2ki members or not. But, ~$900 isn't bad for such a useful upgrade...and considering that getting the rear plastic replaced by a shop will cost over $550.

I'd keep the '00 the way it is. It's more raw and more sports car like unlike the softened '02-'03. Glass rear window was just to satisfy the masses and adds weight.

True, probably more so that than hardening the front.. but how did they do so? Stiffer springs or stiffer shocks? New suspension completely?

door panels changed a little too.. silver surrounds around the handles, tweeter pods and that little pocket. i swapped mine - all except for the tweeters - last year.

dead pedal - the 00-01's didnt get one.

horn - different horn and placement in the 02+

silver surrounds on the newer headlights and tail lights.

fyi, my vinyl window is still crystal clear after 3 years of ownership. tinting it with static tint works amazingly well.. and if it gets dirty, plexus on the inside works wonders!

I have the static tint on the plastic window. It's developing bubbles, albeit small and almost unnoticable. But, both Honda and my body shop have now damaged the window. I'm getting it replaced for the 2nd time in less than a year. I'm just going to take the 550-600 and cover the difference to upgrade to glass.
