Default Converting Rear Bumpers

Wondering if anyone can help me out here.

Just wondering if swapping out an AP2 rear bumper to an AP1 rear bumper is a direct bolt-on or not?!?!?

If it's not, what needs to be done to make it happen? If it's too much, then I'm not doing it.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Andre

I have an AP1 rear bumper on mines. Direct bolt-on although the rear lower mounting brackets will not be used for the AP1 bumper. It also is a little higher than the AP2 rear bumper so the brackets will show. I just used black primer to spray it so it's a little more discreet. The Ap1 rear bumper will be held by the side bolts and the 3 tabs between the tail lights - leaving the brackets near the gas tank unused.

If you're selling the GPW AP2 bumpers, PM me. Trades also possible.
Thanks

I was going to try to find someone local first instead so that I don't have to deal with the shipping issues.

Also... without those two brackets supporting the rear bumper... is there any flex or vibration from driving at higher speeds?

Do you like the AP1 bumper better than the AP2? IMO the AP2 version is so much better integrated...

he might be looking to cover up that second hoel with a single exhaust. It can be kind of expensive to have the bumper shaved to get rid of one of the holes on an ap2 bumper.

I wouldn't say it flexes or exactly vibrates. But it does shake and would hit the bracket which would make slight noises when going over bumpy roads at low speed. I barely hear it though, even with audio off.

You are good... lol.

I do have a single exhaust and was planning on getting the AP1 rear bumper and buy the carbon single outlet lip.

Maybe I can rig something together to make those brackets useful or just bend them slightly out of the way.
