Default Cost to get Hard top Repainted?

Has anyone ever done this? Just wondering what I should expect to pay to have a hard top repainted to my color.

Well, my local body shop charges $350 per panel. So I'm guessing it would cost about the same to paint a hardtop. Just a guess though. Perhaps someone a bit more knowledgable could chime in.

I was quoted at 400 from one shop, ended up having it done as a sidejob for 250.

It is a royal PITA to mask it up from what he said, but I would say around 400 would be a good guess.

you can do all the grunt work yourself, take your time and mask it off and buy some sanding blocks and paper.

To get it painted will just be the cost of the paint and labor

even then, you're looking at spending at least $250.

At least you know it was done right and some body guy didn't give two shits when he masked it and sanded it down

I had a spa yellow HT painted berlina black for $275. But a friend of mine owns the shop where I had it done. He probably gave me a little break but not a big one. Also, I stripped everything off myself (as much as can be taken off anyway). Painting around the rear window sealing was the hardest part he said. They had to stuff packing along under the edge of the rubber to hold it up so that the paint could get back in far enough to give good coverage.
