I was wondering how much a good paint job would cost. I am thinking about doing this sometime in the future and was just wondering what the cost might be. I would be keeping the same color so I wouldn't need ALL the paint stripped. I just need the exterior and my bodykit painted. I am thinking that it might be more expensive b/c of the bodykit, no? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Actually, this is just a one-coat paint. They can do the triple-coat paint just like the factory paint, but much much more expensive.

But usually, I could find a quality paint job for around $5000-6000.

WTF? $8,000? I think more around $3500. You guys must be having Honda Japan do it for that price!

 

it depends on if you want to change the color and do it right or if your just repainting the car the same color.....i would say 3000 for a stock paint color and 10grand for a color change dont RIGHT.

 

I was quoted 7 - 8K from a place in VA. They said they would remove the engine and get the engine bay and just do a real nice job.

 

Yea I don't need the engine bay done, inside of doors, etc etc done, I just want the exterior stripped and repainted silverstone.

 

i heard 5k for a COMPLETE paint job so i'm guessing anywhere paint is visible. i wanted a black s2000 but i'm just gonna keep my color

 

I was quoted 500 EUR to repair a keyscratch that covers the entire side of the car. The dude did work on a Lotus Elise with similar silver colour and the work was immaculate.

Last year I got into an accident and needed new front and rear bumpers. 300 EUR for that paint job.
