I just like to know how much does it cost to replace the front windshield for a 06?

I replaced mine ('07) about 2 years ago with Safelite and it was $265 total. You just call and they go to your house or work.

 

Check your local auto glass shops. I bought new windshields for the wifely unit's Grand Marquis and F250 last summer. Initial price was $240 each. I asked if they discount for cash and the price became $200 each. Was well worth $80 to drive three miles to the ATM.

 

last one cost me $230 - tell them its cash and not insurance, and it will cost less. Also, some states demand free replacement through insurance, so might want to check that.

i changed mine out for $150.. mobile service too!

 

Call around and ask. Pricing varies. IIRC, I paid less than $200 cash.

 

Replaced the windshield in my Celica - which is much larger than the one on the S - for $230 from Safelite here in GA.

 

Had mine replaced a year or so ago through insurance don't know the cost but my point is if you can swing an oem unit do it. I had mine done with PGW which is made in China and the rearview mirror piece that is fixed to the glass would'nt work. The guy had to remove the oem one and then heat the new windsield up and remove the shit chinese one that didn't work then adhere the oem one on. So beware and ask questions.
