in the FI section somebody broke down the cost of the kraftwerks system plus all necessary supporting mods and the cost of installs. it totaled 'bout ten grand.

I'd include clutch and diff improvements in the budget. Thinking about $9K total (using expensive KW kit) myself.

I'm going to a 12psi pulley in spring, which should get me anywhere between 340-370hp.

I've gotten the blower and FMIC second hand.

CTSC setup + Ultimate Racing FMIC - $2000
Emanage Ultimate + Boomslang harness - $766
Seimons 650cc /w clips - $320
9psi pulley + belt - $120
New feed and return line on blower - $75
Tuning - $500
Custom intake by Modified by KC - $120
New AN fittings all over - <$20
Hose clamps - $66

$3987 to date, for an extra 100hp. Add in the 12psi pulley and more tuning, and I'll be at $4520 for 350hp. Keep in mind this is with a rebuilt blower, but someone did just sell their CTSC kit for $1800...

EDIT: FORGOT THE INJECTORS. ARRRRG

You know... I always figured the S2k motor was all stretched to its limits from the factory. How long do you suspect the stock motor taking boost before massive repair bills float in? Anyone rebuild the motor for turbo? perhaps that should be included in the cost

New between from 8-10k. If you do the install you will save some money. Kraftwerks kit=$6500 then you really need a clutch and flywheel another $800 and then when you break your diff atleast a grand. So you are at $8,300. Then if you have to pay someone to do the clutch and charger you can easily add another grand. That puts you at $9,300. I have had many Fi cars and it's a 10k mod easily if you want a nice set up and done right.

My old car went SC'd around 20,000 miles. I sold it just before 90,000 miles and it's still running strong. The new owner has it on 12psi I believe. In my experience the motor is rock solid as long as it's cared for. The car has eaten 2 clutches, 2 diffs, 2 axles though and a tranny though.

I'd say to do it right and make yourself feel good about it you'll be looking at close to $10k. You can get by cheaper but in the end, when you finally have everything worked out, it'll be closer to $10k.

As soon as you hit 350 hp you'll be crying for a new clutch, exhaust will be right in there too. Gauges, tuning and odds and ends will add up fast.

Last week, I was quoted $7600 for a Comptech install (that includes $1200 for labor). This is the newest Comptech for my '07 with aftercooler, but no other mods.
