I could be wrong but I don't think those are removable because of it becoming a projectile if the airbag deploys. You could replace the airbag with a newer model though.
Yes it should fit.
Is it cost effective? That is up to you.

Part #3
77810-S2A-A90ZA 003 001 MODULE ASSY., DRIVER *NH167L* GRAPHITE BLACK $473.83
IIRC, it houses the airbag. I don't think the cover is removable, so you have to basically buy a new airbag (or find someone parting out a CR that wasn't in a front end collision)

It looks the same as any S2000 wheel/airbag, just have to make sure the two bolt holes line up on the sides. Although I doubt Honda would have made such changes to the whole steering wheel minus the cosmetic differences.

Well the front faceplate is just a 06+ plate, I posted a CR picture by mistake. Hopefully I could find one.
Maybe look through the classified section and find someone parting out a car that didn't have the airbags blow.

S14 to S2k: What I meant by steering wheel faceplate is the airbag cover. Don't know the proper name for it.

Maybe put up a thread in the "Want to Buy" section, there are usually a few guys that do full car part-outs.
