Well, I countersunk a stock '01 S2k knob and a stock RSX 6-speed shift knob over the weekend and I love how it turned out. The RSX knob is the same as the 00-01 S2k knob except the shift pattern is painted in red rather than black and the aluminum is a bit darker so it matches the 02-03 interior perfectly.

I have the knob as low as it possibly can go and love how the tranny feels. The shifts are quicker and shorter and it seems like I can "feel" the transmission a lot more.

I bought the needed tools and supplies and did this myself. If anyone wants this done but doesn't have the means just PM me and I can do it for you.

I'll post up a picture later

How much lower did your countersunk RSX knob net you over your stock knob?

I'd say it sits about 3/4" lower. I am just guessing here, I didn't do an actual measurement.

I love my Voodoo 2 Shift Knob. I bought it with the shift pattern etched onto it. When it arrived it was already masked so all I had to do was paint it. It's beautiful and much more comfortable than the stock knob. It does also feel much better. Shifts feel tighter for some reason.

I bought the Muz shiftknob and later the Voodoo. Went back to the stock shifter. Those round bitches get way too hot and they hurt the hand after a day of aggressive driving. Honda knows what they are doing! Don't waste your money, but to each his own.

Picture as promised. Sorry about the poor quality, I took it with my phone while sitting in traffic coming home from work. I'll try to get a better resolution shot later.
