Default Countersinking stock shift knob?

Can you do it yourself by drilling it out and tapping it, or is there someone that does it? Its for MY00 stock knob.

Thanks, Alex

I just took the knob off and removed the nut. It sits lower just by removing that nut.

You can take the nut out but then the shift pattern print on knob doesn't line up. Just get a Voodoo Shift Knob!

They drill out the knob, and rethread it. This only works on the older (MY00-01) knobs. The newer (MY02-Present) are not solid and fall apart.

I just retapped my 04 knob, it had a good 1/2" more you could tap it... just be careful and put it in a vise with something wrapped around it.
