Thumbs up Covering interior in carbon fibre?

Hey guys, and girls, I have crossed a very serious question... kind of...

You all know that you can sorta make a carbon fibre interior by dipping it in some kind of "magical" paint.. right? Well, for those who don't know that actually costs like billions to do... $6,000 for a whole interior (said by someone here in the forums who has done it).

BUT, I found this really cheap sticker thing that you can apply to interior parts on Decal FX , and it actually shows some pictures with that applied to some parts of the interior. Now, do you think it would really work with our cars? I mean, theres a lot of curves i.e. the roolhoops and such.

I am willing to do this... but just want to get some background on it to see if you can do it.

Thanks!

It costs billions to do the whole interior because there are billions of pieces... over 50 for the whole interior.

Many owners have spent more money on a turbo or supercharger.

The stickers won't work because of the curved surfaces.

If you put something cheap on your S2000, it will look cheap, too.

Don't do it.

I bought a yard of this stuff a while back b/c I thought I was going to do something with it. After I received it, I realized just how cheap it looks. I mean, it's not terrible, it looks fine from a distance but it's definitely not something I'd want to cover a lot of things with (especially in the interior). Oh, and there's no way you'd be able to do compound curves withouth wrinkling or cutting the vinyl. It's pretty much just a sheet of plastic.

the only thing I used it for was to cover my tein hood dampers so I don't have to look at that green:

BTW, some of the pictures on their site are either real CF or definitely not this product.

Looks like the 1st two pics *MIGHT* be real (the bike and hood scoop lookin thingy) . I'd have to vote on this too . I used this stuff on my R/C cars way back when , and it really does look goofy .

Sure, I say great idea and it will look awesome; especially on the dash. Take pictures when you are done.

It will doublely awesome if you mix two different carbon fiber weaves!.
