Would you happen to have a pic of your side catchers installed?

 

OK - so I was able to successfully remove the hardtop yesterday. I decided not remove the cross member & attached to the sides of the cross member is a metal plate where the side catchers mount.

I took your advice & used washers for the 12mm bolts & now I used 2 nuts on the remaining 2 bolts, so I still have 4 bolts in place.

I realize if you do remove the cross member, then you would be forced to use only 2 mounting points for the side catchers.
