Default CR interior trunk panels question

Just wondering since I've never seen the inside of the CR trunk but, since the CR does not have a spare tire, does the panel on the right still retain the bulge for the spare tire?

I tried to fit a folding chair in my trunk the other day and the bulge of the panel prevented it from fitting.

Thanks folks.

Been answered before. The bulge is still there. Pull that panel (there are only 3 quick release clips) to fit your stuff in the trunk. You can use that space to put stuff into....

It'd probably be really easy to get a flat, grey plastic panel from Home Depot cut to that shape.

I am actually considering fabricating a flat panel to go here after removing my spare.

Might speak to a couple of fibreglass companies to see if they can do something. Considered doing it myself but I'm not sure how well it would turn out.

It looks to me like the panels are made with corrugated plastic (like cardboard). I'm gonna see if I can get some and then cover it with material similar to OEM. Shouldn't be too hard.

Scratch that idea. I went out to have a better look at it today and it looks like more of a project than I'm willing to take on.

yah.. it's interesting..the piece is the same but there is nothing behind it since the spare tire is removed.
i'm tempted just to toss that piece in the basement since it really has no benefit and aesthetics really is of no issue to me..

I tossed that piece and the spare tire the day I got the car. It doesn't bug me at all that there isn't a panel there.
