Thumbs up Is this a CR or a regular AP2 Rio?

I need your guys's help, is this a CR or a non-CR?

Has CR:
Spoiler, front lip, shift knob, dash trim pieces, badging but missing CR seats!

At first I was thinking it's just a CR and the owner swapped rims but I don't know of any CR owner who has retrofitted a soft top in it's place so that leads me to believe it's a regular Rio ap2 that the owner swappped all the exterior pieces?

It can be a 2006 or a CR, but not both. CRs were only produced '08 and '09.

CR's were only 08 and 09. Also, the VIN will say. 8th digit is a 4 for non-CR's and a 2 for CR's

LOL you guys are all saying things I KNOW ~ doh!

Yes the 2006 should be dead give-away which means this dealer is trying to rip off an unsuspecting buyer since the price is definitely on par for a CR and not a 2006 Rio with 20k miles......

Patinum: thanks, now that I did NOT know....

Or maybe another way to look at his pricing is this...

He needs to make a living...
People are expecting huge savings. At this price he can knock a couple grand of the price to make someone happy.

"ripping people off' is lame. businesses are in the business of making money.

This might be an off-lease car where the owner upgraded some components to look like a CR. Not unlike seeing 02/03's with AP2 upgrades. Someone has to sell it.

If you got this car for 18-19K it would seem to be a fair price. Including the upgrades. Color isn't my first choice but I'd drive any color S.

Why didn't you buy the white car posted in your other thread on this topic?

I kind of get the feeling this was a wrecked car that was rebuilt to look like a primo-CR. Pretty shabby job imo.

If this is an Ap1 wheel, the airbag inside would have to have been upgraded. My understanding is there is a 2 stage system in 06+.

salvaged title cars wouldn't get the factory warranty claimed on the window of the car. all the panels line up. But a car fax would tell all.

Dealers in my area don't touch wrecked cars. They cannot be bothered with them and sell them to used car lots. Not sure where this dealer is.
