Default CR tints

Has anyone tinted their CR windows yet? If so, any thoughts or tips? I'm seriously considering getting 20% put on soon, which is what I had on my TSX and liked it. Anyone have any idea how dark inside the S2k it will be with 20s? Thanks!

I don't have a CR but i cant imagine how it would make a difference.
I got (legal in mo) 35% , its not dark enough. and 20% on the back.
My friend has 20% in his, cant see through it from the outside and it looks great. However it is hard to see through with top down windows up at night.

I think 25% would be best, but i havn't seen it.
that's what I"ll probably get next summer.

20 is pretty much see through in the day light. I love my 5% on the sides, but most states would give you hell for it, shoot for 10-15% if you can.

First of all, the plural of tint is tint.

Second of all, why would tinting the windows of a CR be any different from tinting the windows of a non-CR?

Lastly, tinted windows look absolutely retarded on a convertible.

20%

It's all personal preference, How dark you want it to look/ ability to see at night.
I don't care so much about how dark it is, I like to see at night.
Make sure to get metallic tint with a warranty.
I got my shit done for 40 bucks on the front two.

Look up your local laws as well, alot of states have 35%, if you're driving through one of those states, they can ticket you.
You wont usually get pulled over for 20% in a 35 state, but probably for anything darker.

What, are the CR windows better than the "BASE" model s2000's now?

I have 35% reflective film on mine, with the black interior it looks pretty dark from the outside in and from the inside out the visibility is pretty good. Night visibility is exceptional. With you having the black and yellow you might not get the same results because of the yellow.

20% film is going to be darker in all situations. The darker you go, you will give up some visibility at night but during the day you should be okay.

You have to consider the type of film you are going to get too. Some films are made to filter and some are made to reflect. Now don't think of the reflective film like a mirror tint because it is not. With a reflective film you can get a higher percentage that appears to be darker, but is not. Reflective film reflects the suns rays and heat which reduces the temp in the cabin and tends to be more durable than filter film. Filter film blocks heat but is known to break down over time due to UV rays. When you see a purple looking tint chances are it is a filter film.

Hope this helps you out a bit, and good luck with your decision.

Here's my 35% metallic tint. It's too light i think . Sorry about the truck , but you can clearly see the steering wheel.

You cant really see people in the car too well.
At night , its fine, can barely tell its even there.

I'm with the other guys. No difference in CR windows vs regular S2K. Just look in the gallery if you want to see.
