If that's the one I'm thinking of... it was owned by a 21 year old drug dealing computer genuis in the UK. The reason I'm saying this - about 3 years ago, there was an article in one of the UK mags about a 21 year old guy that made a lot of money in the tech business and also deal a lot of coke. Apparently he was running from the law - constantly. One fatal night he wrapped a McLaren F1 around a tree. He was finally caught at that time.

This picture looks just like the one from the magazine.

Does anyone know of other people who crashed their McLaren F1?
I think there have been McLaren wrecks on German roads due to one guy from the Quandt Family (owners of BMW) and Bernd Pietschesrieder (former BMW CEO).
At least it seems to be a very safe car as no one was hurt in the accidents which occured at particularly high speeds...
