well i'm finally about to ante up and get my S, but i need to find out my Credit Score. just wanted to know if any of you have a preferred site for getting credit reports, that actually shows you your score.

the credit reports are free, but had to pay $6 to get a credit score.

 

Try equifax.com

You have to pay a small fee, but they give you alot of info. Definitely worth it if you're about to spend a few thousand.


BTW, by law, it is your right as a citizen to get a free copy of your credit report. I believe you have to call up equifax or jump through a hoop to do it, but it's your right.

 

You can also use www.myfico.com, which will give you credit scores from a few agencies. Mine ranged from 774 to 808, so I guess it could make a difference if you're right on the line between a good rate and a bad rate.

 

I did not pay extra $ to get the fico score. I just checked my credit history to make that it does not has any negative report, and no identity theft.
If you have several credit cards with no negative reports such as late payments, then your score should be in the mid 700 or higher. No need to pay extra to get fico score.
