Then you have those fast/slow freeway drivers having trapped you by traffic, suddenly feel that your movement, when able, to the right lane to pass said troubled driver, speeds up to prevent you from moving in front of them before you get to the next semi in the right lane. By God, everyone will go 10 miles an hour less than the speed limit!
I wonder why the state eliminated Driver Education and Training that taught you those basic rules (actually laws) that instruct the slower (regardless of the speed limit) driver to move expeditiously to the right lane(s).
Plus a host of other basics.
Sacramento routinely leads surveys of the worst drivers in the nation. I frequently drive to Boise and the difference is amazing. Virtually no one cuts you off, darts in and out of traffic let alone speeds. It is as if everyone is on Xanax.

One of my friends starts going Tap! Tap! Tap! when we are behind somebody who is constantly on/off the brakes kind of a little song. I have come to the conclusion that some people just have no consideration of anyone but themselves. Myself and a co-worker went with the president of the condo association we worked for on a 4 mile trip to help him pick something up and I was horrified at how he had absolutely zero consideration for anyone on the road. A couple of times he saw some landscaping on homes that he pointed out to us suggesting we use it at the condos and he would just stop in the middle of the road and not give 2 s*#ts if anyone was behind him, people were driving by him and flipping him off and swearing at him and it didn’t even faze him.
Regarding the cruise control to get on the stretch of highway I use it on which is about 25 miles I generally set it at the speed limit and there are a couple of places where there are passing lanes I always move over to the right and I have had people come up on me at triple digit speeds and I was able to move over to the break down lane and let them go by me so they didn’t try to pass me and hit someone head on.
