I think cupholders are a useless feature. I refuse to use them.

If you're doing serious long distance driving, you will be very happy that the car's equipped with cruise control!

I was never really a fan of it, until my April trip from Ft. Lauderdale to Knoxville, TN. I did most of the 880 mile trip w/o it, wondering how the heck I could keep my knee from getting to stiff. A few hours outside of Knoxville, KeithD suggested I give it a try. Holy Mary mother of God! It was so nice to be able to set the speed and then stretch out my leg for a while!

I use my cruise that's for sure!

I do a fair bit of expressway driving and setting cruise sure makes the drive easier, I never have to look down and be surprised that I'm doing 20+mph over the speed limit. The cruise on this car is also amazing I might ad. I have never had a vehicle that deviated from the set speed by such a small amount. My truck can wander from the set speed by almost 4 to 5 miles, the most I have seen the S wonder is about 1, maybe 2 on a very steep downhill.

What I would like to know is if the electrical connections and mounting holes are the same on the '04 switch as an '02, but I suspect not... The reason is I like the '04 cruise switch better because they have the 3rd middle switch that cancels the set speed. On '00 to '03 you have to push the 2 buttons at the same time to cancel out the set speed.

For myself I did not like the way it felt so I did the Modifry mod.

Cruise is a great feature to have.

I love the S2000 because it is a genuine sports car with just the right features to add a bit of luxury (e.g. leather seats, radio, A/C, cruise control, power top, etc.). While I am a true sports car enthusiast that does not mind a rough ride or a manual window, as I most likely am only going to have one nice car for myself at a time (in addition to a beater) I also like to have a touch of class and convenience. For me, on the scale from Elise to Z4, the S2000 is just right. True sports car feel and performance with just the right amount of creature comforts.

As far as cruise goes... I do not use it alot, but I do use it to keep my speed down or to take a break/stretch on the highway. I used it the other day on a back road with a cop hot on my @$$. Has I ridden that close to his bumper, I would've had a ticket. But cruise control at 45 mph kept me right on course, despite the urge to speed up with him on my butt.

I use my cruise control every chance I get. As far as I'm concerned, it should be standard equipment on every car on the road. You sound like you might be one of those folks who spends 20 miles creeping up on me, then "slowly" eases past, merges over in front of me and then SLOWS DOWN!!!!! Yup! Cruise control is a wonderful thing. Most folks, including me, can't hold speed on the freeway worth a flip, which is why I use mine.

As for the AC, with Mbilderback. Come down south, you'll learn to appreciate it in a big hurry!

Oh, and just FYI, I hope you cycle the AC on periodically. Fifteen to twenty minutes a month will probably do it. If you "never" run your AC, one of these days you'll want it and it'll blow up in your face because the seals have rotted out. Running the AC compressor every once in a while keeps thing lubricated. Automotive AC systems are expensive to repair. Exercising the system will likely save you a LOT of money somewhere down the line.

FWIW!
Drive Safe,
Steve R.

No cruise available on Euro cars! I haven't found the need for cruise on the Autobahn anyway.

On long trips, I like having cruise control if my foot needs a minute or so to rest/stretch. Otherwise, I don't care to use it. I have yet to try this in the S, but in my Prelude, I can slide my foot to the right and hold throttle position using the center foot-well wall as a brace. Helps prevent cramping too!
