Default Cruise Control

MY02. So I hit the cruise control button to the left of the wheel, pick my speed and then hit/hold/jam repeatedly the set button and I still can't seem to get it to go in to cruise control. I've tried most every possible combo of the 3 buttons I can find that pertain to cruise control and I still can't seem to get it to work. I even verified with a friend who also owns an AP1 that I was indeed doing it properly. So I guess I don't know what is left. I have modifry for my alpine, but I doubt that would affect cruise control. I don't really see it as something worth paying money to fix though, so I guess I'll just throw this up here in case there is something easy I can try, thanks~

Make sure the cruise button is on, the fuse is good, the servo is actually under the hood, and the clutch switch engages completely with the clutch out. Does "cruise" light up green on the dash?

You must press the tom cruise button located in the hidden compartment.
