Anybody with this or any other short shift kit installed? Does it really help make the gears noticibly shorter then they already are? The site that I linked up top really doesnt give enough info.

The "throws" are shorter, but the gear ratios stay the same -- I'm sure you know this, but just wanted to clarify since there are mods out there that make your gears "shorter" (e.g. J's final drive, ATS cross-gear set etc.)

I think one issue with this specific short-shift kit is that your shifter actually is angled to the right after the install? I know someone here has it installed -- could he/she clarify this? I believe it has something to do with this kit being built specifically for the RHD Japanese S2K...

A cheaper and much easier alternative to shortening your throws is picking up a countersunk shift knob ala Voodoo or Rick's...

i do have the c's short shift kit on my little yellow... it is about 30% shorter then stock... and yes it does angled to the right after putting it in... just take sometime to get use to it... i really like it... i tried it on with voodoo knobs and dude its even shorter... but IMO i dont like the shape of the voodoo knob so i am searching for other knobs that does countersunk... does anybody know other then voodoo who makes shift knob that countersunk??? thanks...

jfys2k has this kit and it is noticibly shorter. It's actually pretty cool except for the point Shamu made about it being angled to the right. It's a little hard to stick in reverse, but I don't think he minds too much.

PM him if you need more info.

jfys2k's shifter is DAMN short. C's makes some of the best short shift kits out there.... I wonder when they'll come out with a left drive side shift kit. I really want one too!

now that ive heard this, maybe ill wait a couple of months to see if they do come out with another one for the s2k. not too sure if i want it angled to the right like that. then again with a ball shifter like the voodoo i wonder if you would even feel that its leaning toward the right..

I think it's visibly angled to the right so you'll definitely feel that it's off to the right...but, as with anything, it will soon be the norm for you and you won't even notice it!
