Default Cumbersome OEM top cover

Is it just me or does anyone like using the OEM top cover. I just put the first scratch on my new car with those darn metal tab snaps

I find it annoying that it seems to come out the back, looks like it's going to fly off on the highway, but I'm carefull installing it and can do it in 2 minutes max.

If the designers had located the inboard snaps away from the area where the front top latches end up folded, there would be more hand clearance available and the cover could probably be put on quicker.

does the OEM hardtop change the blindspot factor of the car vs soft top?

Wow, sorry to hear that. Yeah, the darn thing is cumbersome. I lift it way up and then gently lower it down until it's nearly in place.

I barely use it.

Quick Fix for the blindspot on the standard soft top. Unlatch the 2 latches over your head, press back on that little black button by your right hand. Voila, no blindspot (I know, I know, everybody likes a little...)

In proper answer to your question, it may a little since there's a bigger rear window but you would still have a huge B pillar so?! (someone w/ a hard top needs to comment)

Completes the look of the S2k, I use it whenever I can spend the whole day top-down.

yep - I thought I'd like to use it more often - looks & dust/pollen/UV light protection- its certainly a PITA - I've gotten to a place where when I do use it i can get it on pretty quickly...but why have the fastest power top in the category get slowed down by the manual cover - poor design IMHO - and the weight savings rationalization is not sufficient for me - so I have found I'm using the cover less & less...

I like 6 seconds down, 6 seconds up. While it does give a finished look, I haven't used the boot cover in ~3 years...
