And this one was designed for a motorcycle. It swivels with the motion of the car and is less likely to spill:

...I don't ride a motorcycle... but why on earth would you need a cupholder on a bike?
You should some of the big highway cruisers. They have swivel cup holders, cigarette lighters, beverage heaters, cruise control, CD players, Nav units. They do all the things that people driving in cars do. I've even seen an old gal on the back of a bike doing her makeup.

I'm still waiting to see the rear passenger playing playstation with an LCD screen strapped the the drivers back

This guy was drinking a Diet Coke when he lost control. It's tough to drink through the full-face helmet.

It could be one unit. Controller would be in front of the driver for when arms are wrapped around him/her.
