Default Custom Exhaust

I am just wondering if anyone has gone to a local exhaust shop and have them make you a custom single outlet exhaust? To me it seems like a pretty reasonable solution due to minor bends in the piping and they can put on any muffler you want. What are you ideas on it.

well really, just for looks and sound as long as power stays teh same. it seems more cost effective, from what I researched. Its hard to find a mendral bender here, so it would be crushed bend.

I had the stock set replaced with a dual set of magnaflows mufflers with ss tips. sounds good with a slight drone. feels like I gained a little more top end power. for less than $400. the muffler tech said he can do a single outlet for less, but I would need to get the single outlet exaust cap $130 more. drive safe

I did the same. magnaflow mufflers. They definately sound better then stock. I'm not sure about single exhaust. It would look funny. No hp gains so why do it?

I bought a used Spoon exhaust for $350 shipped from another s2ki member. More power and a better sound. How cost effective is a ghetto crush bent muffler shop exhaust compared to that? Be patient and look around, good deals can be had with patience.

where did you get your magnaflow mufflers, and how much were they. I really like the single with an angled tip. reason is it would loose more weight which is good. and for teh ones that did do it, what pipe size did you do. 2.25" or 2.5" thanks

Speedfreak has custom exhaust on his s2k... custom piping and the rest is comptech(i.e magnaflow cans) he said it sounds great, and its loud.. this is obviously a dual exhaust, not a single like you are asking about.. but its still a custom exhaust

Tej, don't go for a crush bent exhaust. If anything, go for a mandrel. Anything other than a mandrel is pretty much worthless. Just try to shop around in places other than Gville. I know Orlando has a few good shops.

Shop around before anything!
