My son made me a new shift knob that is definitely "short throw". Here are photos, first of factory titanium followed by a shot of the new "short throw". Notice the difference in the elevation of the top of the two knobs (before and after). It is made of 6061 T6 aluminum (third photo). Works great, next step may be getting it engraved.

I have a similar shifter knob, round and countersunk so that the top of the shaft is about 1/8" from the outside top of the knob and I love it. But that's not the point of my post:

Good job on the parenting guy!

Very nice, his creation looks identical to the polished aluminum knob from Voodoo.

You may find that the t6 knob gets pretty hot in the summer sun, but if you like that look and feel the titanium unit from voodoo has more stable temperature characteristics. Or maybe your son can make you a ti version.
