Default Custom Plate?

I've always thought about getting custom plates for my cars, but never actually done it. Cali offers one plate with a great beach scene (perfect for the S ) that I might get. This is exactly what the plate would look like... lame or cool?

I think any plate with your name on it is lame. That's pointing out the obvious and will scare away any girls. That's just my opinion though. If you really like it, then get it. I think the S community probably has the most personalized plates out of any group out there. At any meet I always see alteast 1/3 of the guys with custom plates.

I've seen tons of plates with "S2000" or "S2K" or "9K" or "REVS" or "9000" on them. I like it, personally.

I'd be willing to be the Corvette guys have a higher percentage of personalized plates than S2000s, and I'm willing to be Vipers are even higher.

It's Cali....... you gotta have a personal plate.....or your just not an enthusiast.....

When I see a personalized plate on ANY car.... mini-van, sentra, corolla, scion. etc........ it tells me they're an enthusiast about their car and themselves.....regardless of what people think..

Some of the plates as stupid, funny or crazy as they are.......the driver always seems proud...

It definitely makes it easier for law enforcement and road rage participants to find your car again.

My thoughts on personal plates:

Your name = LAME

The kind of car = LAME

We know it's your car, and any self respecting half-wit knows what kind of car it is. It's redundancy at its best (worst.) And unfortunately, 2 wrongs don't make a right

Something clever that resonates with other car enthusiasts =

Just my opinion though...

I'm personally thinking about picking up that same CA license plate with the palm trees and ocean... but leaving the alphanumeric picking to the DMV. The plate is enough personalization for me.
