I just read the S2ki "Notes for taking Delivery"(I know a little late) but I saw where it said that there should be no cuts in the carpet if the mats are installed correctly. Mine has cuts. Any recommendations on what to do? Is there anything that I can do?

That list was assembled in part from a checklist I put together to use when I picked my car up last January. To get the items on the list, I asked the people on H-A.net for their experience and ideas and collected their responses.

The carpet thing turned out to be misleading, and probably should be re-worded. All the MY 2000 carpets, mine included, came with factory cuts for the mat pin. But apparently some dealers did some extra carpet chopping to install the mats. It's this butchering you need to watch out for.

If you don't like the look of the factory cuts, I'd suggest buying a nice set of 3-piece mats from MG Racing. That's what I'm doing.
