Default D shaped steering wheels on the S2K?

I am about 6 ft 3" and 205 lbs (I am working out trying to lose weight too)

Anyways, the S2K is quite snug for me. I would like to give myself some leg room.

I was considering a D shaped steering wheel like the extreme 2 and the NRG slim hub...

Anyone have this? Anyone try this and reverted back? I wanted to know what others opinions were.

Yes, I know I would lose cruise. Its a weekend car and something I mod a little here and there to have fun with. I would be using it in-town and no long distiances.

I am not a fan of cruise control, anyway - So, I don't mind losing it if I need to or could find a way to re-locate the buttons or use aftermarket buttons, perhaps! A friend had a stereo shop do this on his Integra GS-R where the mounted tiny button under the steering column and he used them to set cruise....Has anyone done any cruise mods, please share!

I appreciate any advice!

Thanks!

What steering wheel is there and where can I find more info? Thanks!

EDIT: Researched it some. Per thread below - it won't work?

You cannot fit VGS steering wheels on our S2k's. The steering spline is completely different. You would have to either buy an entire steering rack from a VGS car in Japan or get a machine shop to make it fit.

This is not entirely true, you can use a VGS wheel in our car but you can not use the colum or an entire steering rack from a VGS car. The wheel has to be resplined
Look at the wheel with out the air bag and you will see a dutchmen to the left of the spline.

Round D round is getting ready to start

check out "Science of Speed" at their website and you can get more info on that swap. They have plenty of pics and all the parts that you'll need for the conversion. At 6'7" i would go this route as well if i ever stop my blabbering and get an S... check out the site...

FWIW: the swap isnt complete unless you pony up for the NSX-R horn button as well... giggity
