Daily Driver?
96 Pontiac Sunfire for mundane chores, daily "empty" miles, basic transportation and parking lot/grocery/appliance/bicycle transport abuse.
S2000 for special, pure, driving enjoyment only.
Definitely not a daily driver, a keeper for the long run...

Yeah, daily driver and it's great, except in ice and snow (which I found out today, barely outa 1st gear for a majority of the drive). Thankfully I have snow tires arriving sometime either Monday or Tuesday.
It's interesting, for snow tires they shrink them down to 16 inchers and add more rubber, so I should almost get a more "comfortable" ride. However the overall diameter is nearly the same.
And the car is great for long drives too, I just drove up from NC (to Detroit) and the only thing sore were my knees. But that was easily fixable by just stepping out and stretching for a few minutes every 200 miles. The seats are tremendous.
So the net is yes, and it's great for a daily driver as long as you're smart about it.

I drive mine almost everyday. If its really wet, icy, or snowy I drive the grandpa car. I lovie slippin back into the cockpit of the S2K tho. If I need a fix, nothing will stop me. Driving therapy?
Yep, it is my daily driver, but my work isn't far from where I live. I will have owned my S for 1 year in January. Looks like I will have put 6000 miles on it the first year. Any long distance trips are done in the Accord LX. The Accord isn't a pretty or exciting car by a long shot, but it sure is a work horse. Honda
Ditto for me as a DD, I bought the S2000 specifically because it is affordable to drive every day, as were the MBG and TR6 roadsters of my youth.
The round trip of 70 miles is a joy in the S2K and after 100K miles or so I'll trade it in for another. My longest trip to date is a 7,900 mile road trip from South Texas, to California, up the coast to British Columbia (up the #1 Highway Yee Haw!), over the Rockies to Alberta (Yee Haw again), and Saskatchewan and South again back to Texas. Avoided the Interstates and kept the top down most of the way (Lots of Sun Screen) 27 days on the road with a back pack, 2 small coolers, tent, sleeping bag, 2 mexican blankets, a billie and gas stove, winter and summer clothes (It was May/June) and oh yeah, Medical textbooks and a notebook computer to keep in touch (Wife, kids and pets left at home). The S2K is a much better tourer than the old Triumph.
Hey! It's a Honda, I drive it like it was stolen!!
