Well,

Worked 12 hrs Friday and 16 Hours Saturday at a friends machine shop. We straighted the wheels "lip bends on three wheels", bead blasted, filled chips with a metal matrix epoxy, sanded, prepped, painted, balanced. The wheels were so bad they had to be painted (only way out).

I really like driving on 18" Wheels. A big improvement over stock! The 285X30X18 are awesome wheels/tires. The wheels did have the correct offsets and I gained about 5-7 pounds per wheel in the rear and about 3-5 lbs per wheel in the front. Need SC now. lol

It is fun driving around on bald tires but it has not rained yet. I need to let the paint cure out at least a month before changing tires. The wheels/tires are perfect in balance.

I would have like to powder coat these wheels but we were unsure about the epoxy and I just could not see the cost. Wife is already pissed.

Please excuse the dirty car it has been a long week end.

Shogun owes me $1000 and I will be Happy.

I guess my MY03 wheels/tires go to the fs forum.

A 1.5" drop and man your car would look more badass. Good job, and I hope you retrieve your reimbursement.

Hey nice job on repairing those wheels, thats such a hassle considering you paid so much for what you thought was going to be a nice set of wheels and ended up being ripped off by shogun. He should give you 2000 back instead of 1000 because thats about how much those wheels were worth.

The chances of you getting any compensation were already slim to begin with. But I can now say with full certainty that you will not see a single dime after doing all this. You should've atleast held out a bit longer.

And also, you're not supposed to PAINT HREs for christ sake. They're HREs! That's like taking your Bentley to MAACO and getting the ambassador special.

You should've just got em repaired as best you could. They look ALRIGHT, but they certainly do not look like HREs.
