Question damn!

i found this pic and it shows just how little connects the front and back of our cars, and its a wonder that at high speeds, and crashes this doesn't come into play more...

well atleast i think that it is cool. it is interesting to see the structure versus a coupe that would have a bit of support across the top. how the hell is the car so ridged? well honda, you never stop amazing me

ya if you really look at it, there is really nothing but the bottom framing, so you would think that without the top frame to keep it stable it would bend and flex as you drive, but it doesn't...

I am more concerned with why someone would take a photo of the hood, doors and trunk open Perhaps resurrecting childhood memories?

Our transmission tunnel and door sill is reinforced to strengthen the structure. Honda called the revolutionary design the x-bone frame. Ever wondered why the door sills or transmission tunnel is a little high? Having some reinforcement that is higher than just the floor pan helps keep the chassis from twisting compared to other convertibles. I had a miata and an E36 M3 vert and both those cars would creek and rattle over every bump, but the s2k was solid.
