Default Damn Stereo Guy!

What a weekend.. I just got my car back with fresh new paint this past friday.. Next day i decide to take it to the stereo shop to take a look at my amp.. So I drop my car there and head out to Target with a friend to pick up stuff... I get back and the kid (early 20's) reluctantly tells me that he cracked my cf lip.. Already, I'm starting to get steamed.. He takes me to see the car and it was worse than I thought because I only thought I needed to replace the lip, but nope.. The bumper is also scratched too.. So of course I'm pissed.. I collect myself and try to stay calm and ask how it happened.. He said that he didn't know that he had to push the shift knob down to get into reverse.. So he's in 6th thinking he's in reverse while rolling forward towards the curb.. Then bam that's it.. but the good news (if there is any good news) is that the stereo shop took full responsibility and gave me more than what I needed to replace the lip and repaint the bumper and lip.. So that's my story.. What a way to start the year huh?

Well, at least they owned up to their mistake and did not give you a hassle about correcting it. In fact it seems like you made out with a little extra. BTW did they fix the amp?

They are covering your lip, bumper and putting money in your pocket??

Things could have been much much worse.

I know things could be much worse. I mean it's great that they're getting everything fixed.. it's just the hassle of getting things fixed, the lip was new too so for me the issue is mainly the loss of time and hassle, but I did come out with a little extra which I think is deserved. It wasn't my fault...

Damn for busting up the front, but hell...I wouldnt complain.

Now you get a new lip, a freshly painted bumper and extra cash.
I'd be pretty happy. At least you didnt have to pitch a fit to get it.

I'd almost thank them (but my bumper really needs repainting badly)

Honestly, I would go back and thank them. Tell them you were steamed at the time and didn't think about it.

You can never NEVER have enough contacts in the automotive world with that kind of integrity.

Haha! Do you have an aftermarket shift knob? Mine isn't labeled and whenever I drop my car off I show them where the start button and reverse are... I'm sure they think I'm compulsive, but there are only so many times you can watch someone muscle the key in the ignition and turn it HARDER because it isn't starting....

to be exact. i'm getting another new lip cuz the one that cracked "was" new.. also, I just repainted the whole car.. so the bumper is going to be freshly painted again.. but it's true that they are helping me out.. the few extra bucks like I said earlier is well deserved.. I call it an inconvenience charge... haha..

and yes I do have Spoon Ti shift knob..
