How safe are these "free standing" lifts? I have a small 2 car garage and will really consider this since I'll be buying a third car in the near future.

I'm interested as well.

I've owned my S2000 for four years and this winter stored offsite for the first time. Wife is now expecting to keep her garage space in our two-car garage with 9'10" ceiling. I'd have to modify the garage door to allow for a lift, but doing this whole thing is still cheaper (I think) than doing a third garage bay.

Why would you have to modify the garage door?

Is Danmar is popular brand? I think I'd rather pay ~70% more for a BendPak that's installed with anchors.

You can add anchors... No biggie.

Door rolls up and back, as in most garages.

I'd have to modify so that the door travels higher so it doesn't hit the S2000, which is what would be on the lift.
