click on the start button, then select edit options. Scroll to the bottom where it says "change avatar" and go from there... (make sure you post something yellow to show your appreciation )

ya I cant get the custom pics to work,I tryed to resize them in photo shop and it keeps telling me they wont fit .
any suggestions.

correction, it has to be under 5K and 100x100 img size. If I had my laptop going, I could have you send it my way and I could resize it for you.
