Dash light illumination color change?
This was discussed before, wasn't it decided that orange and red are there because they don't affect the eyes at night? Apparently blue light will distort your vision at nighttime, so it wouldn't be the best thing to do.

all the indicator lights are incandescent, the digital stuff is of course LEDs. how many s2000 owners does it take to change a lightbulb?
it does take a small amount of skill to swap out LEDs however. I'm not sure how you could put a plastic insert in front of the digital gauges on the dash. it would def. cut down the brightness though. i don't think you can get inside the digital assy to muck around. at least i wouldn't go there.
i just upgraded headunits from alpine 7863 to 7864. main difference is color change from black w/ green lights to silver w/ blue lights.
the green on my old one matched the lights in the cruise control switch and fan speed perfectly. now that i have blue i think i am going to hack blue lights in there to make it match again. i'll take notes of what i do.

it looks like it's possible to get to the tach., but it looks like the rest of the lights are all in one very expensive piece. Take a look at the diagram. #5 looks like it's separate and #4 is the really expensive one that probably has all of the other lights.
