Just wondering if anyone has a stand-alone in-dash lcd monitor that fits our cars without modification. I have discovered I prefer to listen to the engine rather than music so I am planning on replacing the audio head unit with a motorized video screen if I can find one that doesn't require any cutting or compromises. Any pointers, suggestions, success stories? TIA.

not that i know of. A good friend of mine has one that fits in the dash but requires a lot of cutting, custom fiberglass. PM mikes2k, he has a sick LCD, DVD, NAV setup. -Anthony

With how deep the HU sits in there it's going to need some kind of modification for the screen to clear the dash when it opens.

I wouldn't have thought that there would be room between the gear stick and the dash to fit a screen in there ???

And even if there was, wouldn't the shifter be in the way?

Non retractable. Note that air vents are gone.

All head units in trunk. Control of system through remote control and IR port on screen.

Don't know anything more than that, it's not my car.
