Default Dash Trim Chipping.....Aaaargh!

Paint on the dash trim around the volume control and START button has begun to chip. What can I do? Is this piece part of the dash or can it be removed and replaced?

Thanx

I would like to know, too. Mine is not terrible, but I'm sure it won't get any better.

I just did a search and came up with nothing. I even looked on some accessory sites.

It is possible to remove it.

I guess you could take it to a paint shop and ask them to match the color.

Actually the peeling is on the outer trim part. Can that be removed also or is that part of the dash?

See the black spot. That is where the paint has been taken off.

You will have to replace the entire audio control module, not just the cover.

I'm not sure of the price on the Audio Control Module, but I know the AC Control Module retails for over $400.

I can't view your pic. Please repost it.

If that is not the piece, this is also removeable:

Her's my car with the dash panel taken out:
