Default DC ceramic coated header

i know you guys say DC headers don't give any gain and actually lose power in some instances, but what about their ceramic coated one??

lol when 100% of poeple say "STAY AWAY!!!" i would stay away.

its not like rims, where peoples opinion can be 50/50.... it whatever floats your boat.

this is messing with your hp, and 100% of people on this site say "STAY AWAY"

The ceramic coated ones are the same basic design just with a coating that is supposed to keep engine bay temps down.

right, but thats just people saying stay away. with nothing to back it up. i don't care if a million people say stay away. i am not gonna bash something just because a bunch of people say its bad WITHOUT PROOF! just because someone didn't like the product and said its bad, then a bunch of other people here that guy says its bad and just follow suit with nothing to back it up. i don't really care about dc but why can't someone give me proof?
are you guys/gals gonna go buy something just because a bunch of people say its good? most threads i see on here ask for some kind of proof before purchasing a performance item so why is this different? i see thread after thread bashing dc and i was going to say something awhile ago but just decided to now because this is rediculous (sp?) without something to back up the claims of this product being worthless. i am not trying to start an arguement but just trying to get to the bottom of this whole thing. if someone can give me a dyno plot or if someone has some other way of proving this unsubstantiated claim then i will shut up.

I'm pretty sure there has been some dyno's that have shown power loss. I don't think everyone is bashing the DC header just because. There has been several people run these and report loss of power or maybe not any increase which is basically throwing your money away.
If your feeling sassy, buy one and take it to the dyno and prove us all wrong.

I made an old post about my initial thoughts on the DC. It is super light compared to stock and really smoothed out the rpm band. I don't know if added any hp or not but it seemed a little more responsive. I got it because I found one ceramic coated that was very cheap. I plan on upgrading to the berk or something in that range if the dynos are good on that or a megan.

I also read on the JDM header comparison thread a while back that the DC picked up 3hp across the rpm band.

Still everyone will tell you this header is the Devil and that you should stay away from it. I too would like to see some dynos but I'm not going to drive 4 hours to get to one.

well, i do have one sitting around from before i went turbo. obviously i am not going to go back to na just to dyno a header but listen up . . . if there is anyone in my area with a STOCK and i mean completely stock s2k ap1 and would want this manifold here is my offer . . . i will pay for your stock dyno time. i will then install or you can install the manifold which i will give to you for FREE. then i will also pay for your after install dyno time. now hows that sound? i live about an hour north of philadelphia so hit me up on the pm if you are interested. and i am going to post this in my local forum too.
