WOW... I'm thinking this is a pretty good deal! What will the market for s2000 be like this winter!?!? Save 2k and fly down to fla, drive back in s2000!! Sounds like a nice trip....

Considering the location of that car, I don't think the market has dried up there.

What I do think is the case is, they have several on the lot and its the very end of the model year. If you really want an S2K this is the time to buy one.

I waited till July and used the end of model year line on the dealer and it worked but I'm in Canada so the time to sell is a shorter window than it would be in Hollywood FL.

Considering that NASDAQ has gone from 4,500 to 1,800 and most total U.S. stock market funds are down more than 20% from 18 months ago, I don't think a 10% drop in S2000 prices is so surprising.

Market is beginning to dry up here in Silicon Valley. Same people who were willing to pay 10K over MSRP just a year ago are now out of jobs and can't even afford the monthly payments.

I can sure see people in the valley not being in the market for them right now, even though the S2K is not the most expensive vehicle I've seen in SV.

My boss in Milpitas picked up a 2001 M5 with under 5k on it for $75k at an auction, wasn't a repo turned in under bankruptcy.

Pretty sad state of affairs right now, but I suppose if you're in shape to buy its a hell of a good time to take advantage of the over-extended.

Thats why you should plan (finacially) it before you actually get it. I could have "irresponsibly" got the s2000 when it first came out almost 2 yrs ago (When I graduated from college). I got enough down payment and could afford the monthly payment at that time, but would have no money left. Thats why I waited until now to order mine. I wanted to save up enough money to get me going for at least a year or so without a job and still be able to pay the monthly payment and living expenses. I don't feel sorry for people who had to sell their cars as soon as they lost their jobs. They were asking for it. Unless you have rich parents to back you up anytime, you should "think" before you buy.

Would you buy a car from someone who advertised it as being red metallic when no such color existed? The picture almost looks like a tote-the-note lot.
