Default Dealership Help

move this to whatever forum you need to, i just need some help

i won a MY02 S2000, and it has 28,000 miles on it. Recently, i've been noticing drops of oil on my driveway, so i jacked my car up and called some car friends. They came over, took one look at it, and told me it was the Rear main seal. I called the stealership, they said theyd call me back, so i got fed up and just went in. They were really shitty with me at the dealership, and told me it would cost me 555 dollars in labor. I was like, how about my warranty, and they said my 3 year/36000 mile warranty was up in may, because the original owner bought it in may-02, and they weren't going to work with me. I then called Honda Corporate Office and filed a claim or whatever, and they said they'd get back to me within 48 hours. Is there anything else i can do? I do not want to pay for this as Rear Main seals DO NOT give up on Honds at 28,000 miles. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Be glad you don't have a Boxster. Their rear main seal (RMS) goes out about every 8,000-10,000 miles. Fortunately, they have a 4 year warranty, but the car is in the shop for several days. For owners out of warranty, it is about a $1,200 repair and Porsche hasn't come up with a permanent fix yet after all these years.
