Default Dealership woes

When i first bought my s2000 i took it to the dealership for a #point check. I forgot how many points but it was the free one that they had a special on. I was told that my brake pads were 1mm away from nothing so i bought some brake pads from honda for $130. I just now took them to my mechanic and he said that there is 80% life left! I dont have my receipt anymore since it took 2 months to finally have time to get the pads on and honda said they wont refund it!
im pretty sure there is nothing i can do now unless someone has an idea =/

I hate dealers. $130 seems a little steep, i hope is was for a set of fronts and rears.

Just hang on to them. You won't recoup your cost, and you are bound to need to replace them at some point...

Call up Honda of America corporate and tell them what happened. I'm sure if you bitch enough they'll refund you.

You could call Honda, especially if you feel the dealer lied to you. However, I wouldn't bitch in the hopes of a refund. IMO, you bought a part that you will eventually need - - - they didn't hit you up for rotors, calipers or ABS sensors. You paid on the high-end for the pads but in the scheme of things, you learned some relatively cheap lessons.

1) find a dealership or independent mechanic who you can trust. sounds like you won't be going back to this dealer.

2) you can almost always find cheaper parts on-line.
