I don't think it's "stain" that you need to concern yourself with. The rest of your car has been subjected to 5 years of environmental exposure, while the paint under the badges has only been exposed to adhesive. You may find that the outline of the badge may linger for a long time.
That's true and that's what I'm worried about. Is there anyone that has done the debadging and the "S2000" is still visible? (after using wax/goo gone/polish...)

Just throw some dirt on it, mush it around, a few seconds of massaging the dirt in and viola! it really does create an aged look. If your paint is still pretty good, then just try mushing around for a couple seconds. I've never dared to try it on a car, but I've done it with plastic model kits. ahahahaa, juuuuust a suggestion.

mine is not visable, i have an 02. if you take them off and there is an outline of them, the most you can do for cheap is buff the fender and hopfully nothing will show then. if it is still there, you'll have to have your fenders blended by a body shop. I plan on having my front "H" badge done by a body shop in the near future as well, but ill have to have that painted anyway since they are going to have to fill the holes. Even if they didnt, that badge is more direct in the sun, and would probably have more of a chance of having an outline in the bumper.

I have a black ap1 and I debadged it 2 weeks ago. Can kinda see the outline but it is very difficult unless you stare at it for a long time. On your white I don't think you have to worry much. by the way it was nice to meet you at HIN, I was the guam Guy...laters bro

Debadged MY00 Silverstone here and the paint under matches the rest of the car.

I used a heat gun and bug & tar remover.

Do it, you'll be glad you did once you see them off of your own ride!

The dit who debadged mine was really smooth about it... He ripped em off and sanded the marks down with sand paper and then repainted it... But its all good. After some touch ups, I couldnt even notice. Your GPW wont even be noticible.

done this a million times
either clay bar or nailpolish remover to get the adhesive off
then get a decent cut polish and hit it with a buffer and just wax it and youll be good as golden
