I just went and drove a MY2000 S2000. The car looked to be in really good shape. There were 2 small door dings on the drivers side, and a small scrape on the lip. 12,100 mi. The car drove nice and felt strong. I did,t hear any strange noises. But I don't really know what to listen for. The guy wanted $19,500 for it. Does this sound like a decent price? Is there anything else I should keep an eye out for the next time I see the car? Also, the warranty was expired, is it possible to get some kind of extended warranty from Honda? He also said that he has only changed the oil once at 6000 mi. I got the impression the the guy never really drove the car. He said that he only hit redline once. What do you guys think? Good or no? TIA.

Run Carfax.....If clean, BUY! Under $20k is good IMO...

The S may eventually be in short supply for whatever reason.

It seems like a pretty decent deal to me too. At least from the research I have done. I have to get the car checked and stuff. And I also have to try & talk my girlfriend into thinking its a good idea.

here is a pic of the car:

Man, Honda OEM front lip never freakin' matches. Mine is TOTALLY the wrong shade of SPA that black looks bad, not enough clear coat.

Car looks good though.

I just bought MY01 for $22.9 with 13k miles on it
It's in perfect condition
The warranty had also expired
I bought a 4 yr. extended bumper-to bumper for $1k
Looks like a great deal @ $19.5 if everything checks out
good luck!
