Default Defending our stooks!

Being an ex-civic si owner, I still am quite active over at www.clubsi.com. On the out there forum, some people were talking ignorantly about our loved ones. I tried to defend it honorably. I hope everything i said was appropriate.

Who cares, its a couple of 16 year olds with Civic hatchbacks saying that. I come to S2000online.com because I own an S2000 and because we don't have a bunch of 16 year old kids talking out their ass.

Pretty good points except for the fact that the S2000, despite it's size, performed VERY WELL in crash testing. I'm assuming that it's because of the frame design on the S.

There's a reason why many other car groups/enthusiasts dislike Club Si...

It may be their ignorance, their belief that a Civic Si is a truly fast car, or the fact they all like performing the "riceboy flyby" because of it...

For the record- For me, the Civic Si is a cute car- but those side mirrors are gawd aweful. I wouldn't be caught driving one- too "econocar" for my tastes, and it's not like you can pretend you're just renting it from Budget...

Hey Ozy! Is that you from gamers? If so, nice to see you got an S2k! I'm still enjoying mine. Just had a stereo installed over the weekend. Got pics in this thread:

All in all the replies in that thread are favorable, a few kiddies have bad things to say. I think I have lived the best of both of their worlds. I owned a 98 civic Ex and a del Sol VTEC. their Si is basically a mix of both.

After a day at the track I have come to this realization, most people I have talked to in my 10 years of being in the "web" car rings is that people are ignorant. You usually get the response "Buy the civic and put a turbo on it, I'll be faster". Faster where? Faster on a drag strip, yes maybe. Faster on a race track, hardly... Racing on a real track is the true definition of a race/sports car and no matter what you do to a civic the S2000 will spank it by shear design. something you cant compensate for.

Same with the MR 2 Spyder guys
