I'd be interested to see spring/damper rate and sway bar comparisons of the CR to the '99 S2k.

FYI, I posted the swaybar info in this very thread back on August 21st:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...post&p=11283785

And I think you mean '00 S2K since there was not '99 model (at least in the US).

There were '99's in the UK, although they may well be JDM imports.

Cheers for the info guys.

As I can't get that magazine this side of the pond, don't suppose anyone could post it? Spring rates that is.

[QUOTE=ULLLOSE,Oct 9 2007, 02:38 PM] Sorry, I just had to sign up and get on here before "Alan in Nevada" gave you anymore misinformation. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he has confused SportsCar magazine , the official publication of the Sports Car Club of America, with some other mag and that he does not have a reading comprehension problem.

Mr. Isley:

My information is from Sports Car (International) magazine, Sports Car being two separate words and "International" under that in very small lettering on the cover, such that everybody refers to it as Sports Car magazine. I really thought that anybody that would be on this forum would be intelligent and knowledgeable enough to make the distinction between that publication and yours so I didn't bother to belabor the issue. Obviously, I was wrong.

Insofar as my information quotes on this forum on the CR from other publications, you will find them in those publications exactly as I have posted them. If you and they disagree or have different information, that's why there are several magazines that cover sports cars.

More specifically, RE your statement, "In fact there is a quote in there from Mr. Uehara that came as a result of a direct question from me at the press conference, where he stated that "the engine is at maximum output".' This has been stated by several different sources in the car press, coming from Mr. Uehara and elsewhere in Honda's PR structure. Insofar as the base engine goes, I don't see that that's arguable. And if you want to disbelieve what Sports Car stated about the small increase in power at the rear wheels afforded by the CR's ugraded exhaust system, you can do that. I don't think that it really matters much to anybody, but that is what they printed. You can check it out yourself, as the magazine is still on the newstands at Borders, Barnes&Noble and magazine shops in my area. (I'm really suprised that your magazine, or somebody on its staff, doesn't subscribe to competing sports car magazines. You all might learn more if you did.)

Ta Ta
I wont get into a pissing match with you about who has the correct title, I just want to make sure when someone is mentioning the name (or like) of our publication they do have the correct information. As I said, I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you had confused us with another publication, and you confirmed that by using their abbreviated title.

As far as the quote, anyone who was at the press conference would have heard the question I asked and the answer he gave as it was all via a microphone and translator. I know I was there, not sure about you, and have my recording of the conversation. My point was that we would not publish his comment about no increase of power on one page and then go on to say there is a increase due to the mufflers. Unfortunately this confusion was simply caused by a lack of a complete/correct magazine title, glad you were able to straiten that out.
