Default deler trade in

I just received an invitation by my dealer to give me a great trade-in on a new 2005 or 2006. They say our particular MY 03 is of interest because of special vehicle requests. I love my baby, I don't think I'd trade it in even at full or above market price. However, what gives? Is it because this is the last year of the 9000 rpm dash? Maybe I should check it out. I'd appreciate your opinions, fellow s2k lovers.

Probably just trying to get you interested in a new car. I really doubt the demand is that high that dealers would offer even as much as you could get in a private sale.

I get those all the time. The dealer will do anything to get you in there and try to make another sale!

My stealer did the same thing. They called me and said they would give me 80% trade in value for my 2004 which has under 10K miles on it.

So I went in and they were going to give me 21K for my 2004 and wanted 39K for their 2006.

I laughed at them and walked out.

Thanks guys! I thought as much, but I wanted to hear your opinions. I just may go in and see how much I can get ripped off.

amazing how some people are suckers for punishment...I rather spend the cost of gas, and save the aggravation and go for a good fun run
