Yep, I would do the same. Remember, the body shop is supposed to repair it to pre-accident conditions. If you are not happy with the result, tell them to go back and do it again. If they said they can repair it, then I'd be pretty confident they could.

yeah i would just repair it. it doesnt really look bad enough to get a new bumper

I would just repair it as well. If their good, they should be able to make it look like new.
