Default Dent on the hood...

I parked in downtown Denver on the street last Friday night. It's not until Saturday morning when I found there is a dent on the front side panel and a little blood and dirt on the hood. It seemed like someone were fighting and landed on my car. I am more sad than pissed. It's a small dent, but it's VERY obvious. The car is not perfect any more.
Now I am debating if I should change the whole right side or have some dent place to fix it.

Great lesson for me - never park where there are drunk people walking by...

If the paint isn't cracked, I'd try a paintless dent repair facility. Dings-Plus, Dent Pro, or Dent Wizard. Some of them will even come to your house or job. The good ones leave no sign of previous damage or repair.

The dent is on the line where it sticks out. My friend with the TT had similar dent and went to the paintless dent fix, but didn't turn out good.

PDR works fine if the cent is more toward the center, on the edges not much can be done. A body shop can fix it. Consider a carbon fiber hood.

I had a dent on right on the crease of my door, Local dent guy got it out and I would never know that it was there. The job was perfect.
Defiantly worth checking out.

Yes, have a dent-a-fix place (hey, that's a pretty good name! I should get it registered ASAP!) fix your dents/dings!

Take a look at my dents that a HONDA dealer did to my car when they checked my spark plugs!

It's all fixed now. . .can never, ever tell! Trust me, had I been able to see just a smidge. . .they would have been proud owners of two used S2000 fenders. . .

I know how you feel man.
I just had my S2K scratched and fixed and
it just aint the same.
Personally I'd leave it until you have done shit-loads
of research first to find the best way to deal
with the problem.
Buying a new panel and having it painted may lead
you to my problems (see "minor scratch - major horror story").

Ting,

I'm sorry to hear about your car. I have only parked mine downtown a few times. Every time I was in constant view and only once was it unattended.

Good luck in getting the dent fixed. You should try a paintless dent place first. It won't hurt, if it looks worse then get the whole quarter panel replaced.

oh yeah,

I was at the track last time and the owner told me you went for lessons and he got you car up to 104MPH in the straight-a-way. Did you have fun?

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback, I'll give these PDR place a try. Will post before and after pictures.

I thought about the carbon fiber hood, with our light weight aluminum hood, I don't know how much performance we can gain though. But it's not going to help my situation, as the dent is on the right panel.

Kupe, I am really sorry about your car.

Kwando, I had a ton of fun on the track. I think I've even improved on go-karting after that.
