Design lines
Most all the members here agree that the S2000 is a beautiful automobile. How many have looked at the various design elements and strokes and thought to see their relationship to the whole. For example my favorite "line" on the car is the subtle fender top crease that runs the length of the car from the top of the tail lights, defines the trunk, tops the doors, and creates a tapered "valley" out of the hood. The angle that the internal side of this crease takes is one of the most visually stunning features of the car and the easiest to appreciate from behind the wheel. Together with the side cut at the bottom of the doors they serve to accent and give impact to what otherwise might have been plain surfaces. Does anyone else have a favorite design element? The front "face" of grill, headlights and "faux" vents immediately comes to mind.

I just finished reading a British newspaper report on the S2K, which said (among other really glowing things):
"The whole front end is brilliantly moulded into a widened spoiler skirt. Beady headlamps make it look like a hammerhead shark."
My sentiments exactly.

My design "critique":
- The crease that runs the length of the car gives it a sleek, simple, elegent look to the car.
- Probably my favorite design element is the proverbial Japanese round taillights with black casing and clear lenses. Very modern and unique (in the U.S. anyway)
- Like the "speedster" look of the top when it's up
- Love the way the CHMSL light arcs across the rear deck lid

One of my favorite design angles is the front hood/fender design. It gives the car a muscular look yet the angles are not obtrusive ala a muscle car look. I have had a lot of compliments on this frontal design and comments that unlike BMW and Porsche which have more of a rounded and softer design, the stook looks more masculine (No offense to our feminine members) and aggressive.

One additional comment I forgot to mention. A friend of mine who does Corvette restoration and repairing and who I do detail work for mentioned that when I park in front of his shop customers and non-customers stop by and ask what the stook is and several have mentioned a similarity to the Cobra from the front. Not a bad comaprison.

I love how the car looks from the front...my friends all commented that it looks like a snake that's gonna bite ya! I also love the little side cut on the bottom...with silver, it stands out even more and accentuates the angular lines of the car, but is also subtle and not overdone. Just MO.

I too like the head on view with the fenders flaring out over the front tires. I wish they had caried a little of that element to the quarter panels for a flare in the rear. From five or more car lengths behind, the car presently takes on a Miata appearance.
My favorite line of all, however is the side view looking directly at the fender. The hood rises just a couple of inches above the tire giving it a low sleek knife edge.
