The Porsche club has tech sessions all the time. As a matter of fact they are one this weekend.
Most of us already know about cars but some
still don't.
We could install someone's exhaust or bleed brakes or whatever.
And we could do it at my house so I won't get in trouble for going somewhere.
I have a shop big enough for 3 cars, air
compressor, tools, alignment equipment,
and an engine hoist.
Although I don't think anyone wants their motor pulled.

Just a thought

Even though I only live a few hours south of you, I think this is a great idea for some ppl. I'm sure some ppl can appreciate the alignment on the rack. Its a great idea, and I'd participate, but unfortunately I dont have the stook yet. Keep me in mind in a few months if you have another event like this going on.

Great idea. Let me know how I can help. I'll be reviewing the local club mailing list and taking the first steps to create an event calendar over the next few days. Keep the good ideas going.
I'm not planning any mods yet but I do need to resolve some HID headlamp issues and replace the hi-beams with some "blue" H-1 bulbs.

I agree, this sounds like a good idea. It would be great to do a little exhaust install, calipar painting and break line bleed tech session. Svann, I would also like to change out the high beams, do we have any good sources for them?

I think H-1 beams are pretty commonplace now. I'll pick some up after my trip and post back next week.
When I return I'm hoping to post some events so keep up the good ideas (try to post or e-mail your suggestions) and I'll do my best to organize or assist the effort.

Hey Texans,

I'd be up for that! I need to paint my calipers too. Seeing an exhaust install would be cool also. Or a group oil change!

BTW anyone has their car at Eagle (lemmon ave.) today. Saw silver/black with black-badge kit in the service bay for the grind fix. I thought it might be Chris'. I believe the rotors were painted.

I need any feedback on the grind fix and shop recommendations in DFW.

Chris,

Wow, that long? I know you have some other stuff being done...but it did look nice and shiny sitting in that white new service bay though!!!

I talked to some "service managers" and they said they could have it back to me in a day...yeah right! They looked at the TSB #55 and said "it doesn't look so hard". I didn't have a comfort level to set up an appointment w/ them right then. Please give me your thoughts when you get it back.

I will be driving down to Dallas to start a new job on 11/1. I will be working in the Carrollton area. Not sure where I will be living until I spend some time with the realtor.
From the posts that I have read, are there any good Honda dealers in the Metroplex?
