Post Did the 4.77's (Hardtopguy)

Sent my AP1 diff out to Hardtopguy. Got an AP2 + Comptech upgrade.

Bottom line - love it. Obviously, there's tighter spacing between gears...... exiting turns in 2nd, below vtec, will kick the rear around now. Starts from 2nd gear (routine driving, not dumping the clutch) are fine - just feels like a tall 1st gear. Running 4500 rpms @ 70 mph.

Yellow jacket speedo recalibrator install was easy, and the default settings for 4.77 gears put the speedo right on (measured by radar @ 60 mph).

Overall, a very good experience with Jeff G. (Hardtopguy).

A big thanks to S2000GT for the wheels - color works very well with Silverstone.

I wish I had the CT reinforced pieces in there. I may have to do that sometime soon.

It's basically a stock '04 Yammy R1 with Harvest Gold powder coated wheels, a couple aftermarket bits, and some race rubber. Out of the box, most bikes of this sort are track ready, except for perhaps the rubber.
